Christmas ginger ginger bread cookies

Ingredients:
  • 175 g softened butter
  • 175 g brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 450 g flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 2 tbsp. tablespoons ground ginger
  • 2 tsp ground red pepper
For the glaze:
  • 1 egg white
  • 100 g powdered sugar
  • few drops of lemon juice
Preparation:
  • Beat butter and sugar until smooth. Gradually add eggs, sift flour, baking powder, ginger and pepper, knead a soft dough.
  • Put the dough on surface sprinkled with flour, knead. Wrap in foil and place in refrigerator for 30 minutes.
  • Roll out the dough 5 mm thick and cut out cup, hexagons. Within each hexagon a smaller cup, make a notch.
  • Put cookies on baking trays and bake at 180 ° C for 8-10 minutes. The finished cookies absorb glaze and sprinkle with colored sprinkled.
  • Glaze. Beat egg whites, powdered sugar and lemon juice in a dense foam.
