Poppy-seed cake- New Year's table and the Christmas table


Ingredients: 1 can of peaches; 250 g butter 200 g sugar, 6 eggs, 400 grams of flour, 1 sachet baking powder, 1 teaspoon grated lemon zest 5 tablespoons milk, 50 grams of poppy seeds.
Preparation: For the preparation of poppy cake Put the peaches in a colander, allow fluid to drain, cut fruit slices. Prepare for pie dough. For the test, leave the butter for 10 minutes at room temperature, then rub with sugar, add eggs. Mix flour with baking powder, combine with egg mass, lemon zest, milk and mix well. Third of the dough, mix with poppy seeds and reload in pastry bag. The rest lay out the dough evenly on a baking sheet lined with baking papers. Top squeeze "lattice" made of dough with poppy seeds. In each cell formed put on 2 slices of peaches and gently push the dough. Pie bake in a preheated 200 degrees oven for 30 - 40 minutes.
